Time Capsule 2018

Time CapsuleThe revitalization of Reid St, and the ripping up of the street and sidewalks, has provided us with a great opportunity for Quesnel to bury a Time Capsule!

We are encouraging the residents of Quesnel to contribute something to the capsule for future generations to unearth, maybe another 70 years down the road.

The capsule has been purchased and measures roughly 14" x 14" x 24". With the limited space, we are asking for printed photo submissions, small tokens or mementos, letters, or even digital media of Quesnel and the area, which can be stored on flash drives in the capsule.

Photos should represent the people, the area, or the lifestyle of Quesnel and area in 2018. Please do not submit photos of what Quesnel was like in the past. We want to show future generations what life was like today for us.

If you are submitting a photo, feel free to write down a description of the photo on the back.

You can drop off your submissions at the Quesnel Downtown Association office

There is still time to get your submissions in!

Quesnel Businesses

There are several volunteers helping to gather information, video and photos of Quesnel and the surrounding area. They have designed a form for Quesnel businesses to fill out, so they can be included in the time capsule as a snapshot of the types of businesses existed in Quesnel in 2018.

If you own a business, and would like to fill out a form, you can download a copy here, and return it via email, or paper copy.

Flyers for your store, and/or brochures, as well as business cards are welcome!
